We're looking for a Business Development Director to join our Jumpshot Sales team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Sales function and be responsible for managing the portfolio of opportunities that exist for Jumpshot product sales into Ascential Customers, as well as developing new business opportunities outside that customer set.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Delivering growth within a distinct customer set and prospect pool, creating opportunities and pursuing marketing qualified leads.
  • Collaborate with all our Ascential Brand Sales teams to ensure our engagement with our customers is joined up, client focused and that we maximise the opportunity to broaden our customers Ascential Footprint through the uptake of Jumpshot Product and Services.
  • Successfully achieve and/or exceed specified individual and performance objectives (KPIs) 
  • Selling a range of solutions to existing clients to maintain and grow the relationship; building account plans for all key/growth accounts that identifies opportunities 
  • Writing proposals to a high standard that sell the value of the solutions
  • Manage customer/prospect relationships from the inception of the “Jumpshot” concept through to ensuring that customers know the benefits “purchased” post-sale
  • Be able to demonstrate the value to the clients of our solutions and track how they perceive that value through the show/event cycle
  • To respond to customer requests and ensure clients receive a timely response
  • To ensure all customer and account information is recorded accurately in Salesforce

Your Experience

  • Demonstrated sales success in a business development role in a consultative sales environment
  • Prior experience selling research and advisory to C-level professionals is desirable
  • Previous CPG/FMCG experience is desirable
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the value and benefits of Consumer Data and Digital Marketing
  • Ability to create Account Plan/Strategies for complex, enterprise prospects
  • Consultative selling skills and the ability to clearly articulate a winning sales approach or process
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for success
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to travel frequently to attend in-person client meetings
