About the role

We are looking for a passionate, proactive and analytical Digital Marketing Manager (Social) to join our Marketing team in London. This role will increase our social media reach, engagement and conversion, to convert WGSN audiences into repeat visitors, customers and brand advocates. 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Work with Marketing Directors to agree social media marketing goals and targets

  • Identify and implement the appropriate paid social media strategy for each WGSN region

  • Work with the WGSN content team to set guidelines and develop content and video assets

  • Create detailed communication plans and activity schedules, covering timelines, frequency and format of messaging, channel differentiation, communication themes, response framework and call to action.

  • Amplify and increase the profile of key WGSN spokespeople.

  • Support the Global Planning and Performance Director on overall campaign planning/scheduling across channels.

  • Identify and distribute social content, ensuring all activity fulfils strategic, brand and campaign goals.

  • Work with all relevant stakeholders to source content and with members of the Campaigns team and digital agency to ensure that social media strategy and activity is integrated with other channels

  • Using appropriate tools, ensure we are monitoring, listening and responding to our social community

  • Set up/maintenance of social media accounts working with the regional marketing leads

  • Ensure strong communication with wider marketing team at all times, providing regular reporting of activity and KPI performance vs. target, and meeting regularly to review activity, spend and results, developing plans to optimise and remediate as needed.

  • Provide expert social media insight and advice for the marketing and content teams in order to grow internal understanding and awareness of social media and digital marketing in general.

Your experience 

  • Over 18 months’ experience in setting up, creatively optimising, communicating with and managing paid social media campaigns, including Twitter, Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn and Google+.

  • Experienced in use of social media management and monitoring tools/software, such as Oktopost/Hootsuite/Buffer and Google Analytics.

  • Experience of creating and implementing social media strategies in order to drive community interest, engagement, new prospect acquisition, database growth, newsletter sign-up, website traffic and ultimately commercial conversion.

  • Experience of generating insight from social media tools to improve marketing effectiveness, innovation and proposition development.

  • Understanding of social media networks outside UK and non-English language desirable.

  • Practiced in managing all aspects of the promotional mix desirable.

  • Digital marketing qualification desirable
