We are looking for a Global Payroll Specialist to support and process EMEA and APAC payrolls across 14 countries. 

Working as part of the wider global HR Ops team, along with the UK and US payroll team, the role will provide co-ordination of payroll activities and partner with external payroll providers.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll

  • Take ownership for the delivery of EMEA/APAC Payroll with accuracy and timeliness as well as full compliance with legislation, company policy and control procedures.
  • Continuously look to improve the efficiency of day-to-day payroll operations through work processes improvements.
  • Monitor and review payroll spreadsheets and reporting for accuracy and data integrity;
  • Lead small scale global International Payroll projects, as required
  • Collate payment listings to third party for processing on a monthly and ad-hoc basis as well as setting up or amending beneficiary accounts.
  • Submit Funding requests by given deadlines, tracking the payment to ensure it is processed correctly and credited on time.
  • Ensure that all global payroll-related tax payments are made accurately and within given deadlines.
  • Performing reconciliations and audit tasks for monthly payrolls.
  • Development and maintenance of good working relationships with the vendor’s payroll, tax and benefits providers.
  • Accurate transmission of banking payments and bank accounts reconciliation.
  • Advising on compensation, benefits and tax related issues and employment legislation impacting payroll
  • Monitor, process and report on monthly payroll costs
  • Research and interpret country regulations and act as an advisor to team members and HR partners, ensuring global payroll compliance, and ensure payments to employees are processed timely, seeing that wires are transmitted when needed.

Global mobility

  • Support with global mobility requests and track data for cases globally
  • Liaising with 3rd party suppliers on global mobility advice
  • Support compliance with all administrative Global Mobility processes and policies.
  • Produce cost estimates and assignment initiations as required.
  • Managing immigration requests & monitoring visa applications

General:

  • To maintain own continuing professional development, keeping up to date with legal requirements and relevant HR and payroll developments.
  • To maintain appropriate confidentiality of information relating to the Company and HR data and maintain compliance with secure data.
  • Support Head of HR Operations with reviewing policies and procedures in line with current employment legislation and are consistent with best practice recommending improvement where needed.
  • Support with HR reporting and analysis to ensure business improvement.

Your Experience

  • Previous professional payroll operations experience in multiple countries in EMEA
  • Experience of managing outsourced Payroll function
  • Sound knowledge of HR/Payroll legislation in EMEA/APAC
  • Preferable experience with Workday
  • Customer focused and professional attitude and sense of urgency to deliver best in class and high quality payroll results
  • Knowledge of processing complex payroll transactions (Share schemes, Relocation, etc)
  • Self-starter, ability to work in a fast paced ever-changing environment
  • Experience of project management and working with third parties in the implementation of a managed payroll and flexible benefits
  • Able to work appropriately with confidential and sensitive information. 
  • Experience of managing outsourced Payroll function
