We are looking for a highly experienced Key Account Manager to work on our prestigious Spring Fair exhibition.

Role purpose

·        To reach and exceed sales and revenue targets and performance objectives
·        To effectively manage and grow key and strategic customer relationships
·        To research the market, analyse trends and make recommendations regarding Sales Plans and contribute to future sales strategy
·        Be a market expert
Key responsibilities
  • Successfully achieve and exceed specified targets and performance objectives
  • Effectively handle all interactions and relationships with key and strategically important customers to grow the business
  • Make calls and visits to existing to build customer relationships, deliver excellent customer service and maximise additional revenue  opportunities
  • Be deeply knowledgeable about market, customers, competitors and products in order to sell creative solutions and deliver exceptional customer value to customers effectively
  • Develop initiatives that build long term strategic relationships and results
  • Maintain strong sales pipeline through effective relationship building, call management and lead generation
  • Ensure accurate use and maintenance of the CRM system - Salesforce
  • Sales administration responsibilities - including reports, meetings and robust sales plans
  • Work in collaboration with internal teams, especially the core Glee and Spring Fair sales teams, as well as Marketing, Content and Operations, ensuring all activities are considered from a customer’s viewpoint
  • Ensure accounts have an established customer plan and any risks and growth accounts are flagged and have appropriate management plans in place
  • Continually seek ways of improving ways to build customer relationships to promote growthContribute to evolving the client brand, developing the Sales offering and Strategy for the business
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert, coach and mentor to others in the Sales Team

Experience & Skills required

  • Minimum 6 years of sales and key account management experience within the exhibitions sector
  • Strategic and target driven key account management experience essential
  • Experience of key account management and adding value to customers  essential
  • Experience of retaining key accounts and managing them strategically with long term partnership and investment objectives
  • Leading sales teams
  • Digital and Sponsorship sales experience required
  • Proven track record of problem solving and constructive solution selling
  • Experience presenting and influencing at a senior level  
  • Experience of selling creative solutions
  • Engaging and empathetic with ability to challenge at senior levels
  • Personal credibility and gravitas to command respect from the team, wider business and clients
  • Self-motivated, self-sufficient and accountable
  • Adapts well to change
  • Target driven and hungry for success
