About the role

We're looking for a VP to join our team in North America. As part of our Executive Search function, your key responsibilities will include:

  • In partnership with both the MD & SVP, Executive Search, establish high quality search assignments with top performing companies within the media, advertising, entertainment and technology industries
  • Build strong relationships and proactively partner with key decision makers within MediaLink’s Advisory practice to develop new business and to gain deeper insight into our clients and the needs of their businesses
  • With our clients, develop an effective and compelling presentation to market each opportunity and client company to prospective candidates
  • Working with the assigned engagement team, develop and implement the sourcing strategy for each search; source, represent, and present the client opportunity to desired and targeted candidates
  • Understand the client position thoroughly, and execute accordingly, screening candidates for the
  • Proactively network and seek out candidates in an expeditious and most cost-effective manner
  • Manage all candidates through the selection process, providing a high level of candidate care
  • Qualify candidates for cultural, financial and experience fit, utilizing a behavior based interview approach based on the core competencies identified with client
  • Leverage business and client networks to market opportunities, as well as further develop MediaLink’s
  • Executive Search relationship in market to source engagement opportunities

Your experience

  • Considerable formal experience in retained search or executive recruitment process from lead generation to offer stage
  • Solid understanding and at least some experience in the startup, mid-tier, and enterprise business world as well as the Fortune 100s
  • Strong knowledge of organizational design and structures
  • Current on the latest trends in technology, especially around emerging media and technology platforms
  • Excellent communication skills; articulate, persuasive and able to communicate difficult and complex matters in a straightforward, transparent manner
